Before publishing: this draft accurately reflects what Beat Moolah's app
actually collects and which real third-party services actually process it (Supabase, Stripe,
Anthropic, RevenueCat, Apple/Google) — it is not generic boilerplate. It has not been reviewed
by a lawyer. Fields marked like this still need a real value. If
you have users in the EU/UK or California, have counsel confirm the GDPR/CCPA sections are
sufficient for your actual data flows before treating this as final.
1. What This Covers
This Privacy Policy explains what information Beat Moolah, Inc. ("Beat Moolah," "we," "us")
collects through the Beat Moolah mobile app (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices.
It's part of our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
You provide directly
- Account information: email address and password (via Supabase
Authentication), username/handle, display name, bio, and profile photo, all optional beyond
email/handle.
- Payment information: if you subscribe to Premium or a Creator, payment
card details are collected and processed directly by Apple, Google, or Stripe — we never see
or store your full card number. We do receive and store a Stripe customer ID and subscription
status, and, if you become a Creator, information Stripe collects for payout/tax purposes
(handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy).
- Content you create: picks you submit, reasoning/analysis you publish as a
Creator, follows, and any support messages you send us.
Collected automatically
- Device and usage information typical of a mobile app (app version, OS version, crash
logs) — used for reliability and debugging, not sold or used for advertising.
- [If you add any analytics SDK — e.g. Expo's own crash reporting,
or a third-party analytics tool — list it here specifically. Not currently in the app as
built.]
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the Service: create your account, show your picks and public record, process
subscriptions, and enable the social features (follows, leaderboard, timeline).
- To communicate with you: transactional emails (password reset, subscription receipts —
largely sent by Stripe/Apple/Google directly, not us), and, if you opt in, product updates.
- To generate Moolah's picks: game and odds data (not your personal data) is sent to
Anthropic's Claude API to generate Moolah's picks, confidence scores, and reasoning text. Your
own picks and personal information are not sent to Anthropic.
- To maintain safety and integrity: detecting fraud, abuse, or manipulation of records/
leaderboards, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting for Creator payouts (handled by
Stripe) and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
4. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories
of service providers, each acting under their own privacy policy, only as needed to operate the
Service:
| Provider | What they process | Why |
| Supabase | Account data, picks, follows — effectively all app data | Database, authentication, backend infrastructure |
| Stripe | Payment details, subscription status, Creator payout/tax info | Payment processing for Creator subscriptions and (where applicable) Premium |
| Apple (App Store) / Google (Play) | Payment details, purchase/subscription status | In-app purchase processing for Premium on iOS/Android |
| RevenueCat | Purchase/subscription status (not raw payment details) | Reconciling in-app purchase subscription state |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Public game/odds data only — not your personal data | Generating Moolah's AI picks and reasoning |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect Beat Moolah's or users'
rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice
to you where required by law).
5. Public Information
Some information is public by design, as part of how the Service works: your handle, display
name, bio, avatar, follower/following counts, your Moolah Bot Challenge record and balance,
and — once graded, or immediately for Board Picks — your picks. Weekly Locks are visible only
to you and your active subscribers until graded, per your subscription's paywall rules, then
become public like any other graded pick. Do not include information in your bio or Creator
content that you don't want to be public.
6. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your
account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within
[X days], except where we're required to retain it longer (e.g.,
Stripe transaction records for tax/legal purposes, which Stripe retains under its own policy).
Public pick history tied to a deleted account may be retained in de-identified form to preserve
the integrity of the leaderboard and Moolah's own record.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction: update your profile information anytime in the
app.
- Deletion: request account deletion via
support@beatmoolah.com
[or: "from Settings," if a self-serve delete flow exists].
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what
personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do
not sell personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- EU/UK/EEA residents (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct,
delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis for
processing is performance of our contract with you (providing the Service) and, for optional
communications, your consent.
[Confirm with counsel whether a formal Data Processing Agreement /
Standard Contractual Clauses are needed with Supabase/Stripe/Anthropic for EU user data, and
name an EU representative if required.]
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from,
anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete
it. Contact us at support@beatmoolah.com if you
believe a minor has provided us information.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in
transit and access controls on our database (row-level security enforced at the database
layer, not just in application code). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and
we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Beat Moolah is based in the United States, and our service providers (Supabase, Stripe,
Anthropic) may process and store data in the United States and other countries. If you're
accessing the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and
processed in the US.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified
in-app or by email before they take effect.
